This was my first open-source contribution experience, and it helped me gain a strong understanding of how open-source communities function. Through active participation in the Discord community, I learned collaboration best practices, issue discussions, and real-world development workflows. I gained hands-on experience with Git and GitHub, including creating branches, raising pull requests (PRs), handling reviews, and resolving merge conflicts. Overall, this experience significantly improved my technical skills, confidence, and understanding of collaborative software development.
