An open-source, self-hostable alternative to Pinecone — I built both the vector database backend and the admin dashboard from scratch.
Developers can spin it up on their own PostgreSQL, upload documents, run semantic search, and ask natural-language questions with LLM-generated answers and source citations.
What I built:
• Full admin dashboard — collections, vectors, API keys, usage tracking, document upload, and a natural-language "Ask" interface
• Multi-tenant auth with tier-based quotas (free/starter/pro/scale) and per-user data isolation
• Sub-0.6ms p95 search latency, flat from 100 to 5,000 vectors using pgvector HNSW indexing
